Keto – Paleo
Diets, What is the difference?
These days the
whole world is obsessed with diets and food restrictions and especially when it
comes to style and show everyone wants to shed fat and creates a slim picture
of self in the visions. However, based on research 90% of people who choose to
start a diet fail in achieving weight loss goal. Non-sustainability is the
biggest cause every diet becomes impossible to succeed.
Regarding the
Keto – Paleo diets and their differences
I would like to put some light. Both diets are low-carb diets but the outcome
might be completely different. It is also said that historically Keto diet was
used as a tool for disease control, such as epilepsy. Basically, keto diet
reduces carbohydrates and increases dietary fat. Paleo diet on the other hand,
focuses on eating meat and avoiding processed foods and dairy. People who are
on Paleo diet strongly prohibits eating refined sugar and table salt. Keto
focuses on manipulating fat, carbs and protein. Paleo diet is all about food
choices, eliminating dairy, grains and processed foods.
Every
diet is different from other diets around the world, although both the above
diets have almost identical restrictions of carbohydrates which make them twin
and fundamentally the fastest weight loss plans. There are also some benefits associated
specifically with Keto diet:
·
Reduces body mass
·
Lowers blood LCD and
glucose
·
Increases HDL or the good
cholesterol
Keeping with Paleo diets you
might also experience some health benefits:
·
Increased Insulin
Sensitivity
·
Preventing additives and chemicals
by restricting processed foods
·
Shrinking fat cells
The big difference between the
two diets is that Keto diet is a high fat diet and is proven to control the
epilepsy disease among children. However, Paleo diet specifically focuses on
meat, nuts and berries. Also, a lot of people tend to stick to the Keto-diet
more than the latter, due to the fact that Keto is high fat and make people
less hungry most of the time. Hunger is the number one cause for dieters to
lose hope and start eating in excess again. Based on different experiences Keto
is also proved to be a bit more sustainable than Paleo diet.
Albeit, both diets restrict carbs
and it is difficult for dieters to be adherents for long duration. The best
diet in the whole world must be sustainable and long term with health benefits.
